03.04.2024
Indice

A tropical climate, beaches of white sand, sea beds teeming with all varieties of fish, and a coral reef. All of this, and a whole lot more, is Madagascar, an enormous island off the southern coast of Africa.
With more than 5,000 kilometres of coast, it is paradise for those who love the sea in all its hues and those who want to dive into uncontaminated nature kissed by the sun.
Between a day at the sea and an excursion in the rainforests, here you can relax in one of the resorts in Madagascar offered by VOIhotels. This hotel chain brings Italian hospitality to unique locations worldwide.
Choosing where to go in Madagascar isn’t easy as this is an island of a thousand surprises, but it is of course the beaches here which dictate the law: the jewel in the crown of this enchanted island.
We have explored the nicest beaches in Madagascar and have chosen the 5 most beautiful, which really have to be seen at least once in your lifetime.

Madagascar’s beaches: Nosy Iranja

Very fine sand and a turquoise sea, the beach of Nosy Iranja enchants with its special shape. It is made up of two little islands, connected by an isthmus of sand which you can only walk on when the tide is low.
The beach is located just off the islands of Nosy Be, also known as perfume island, given that aromatic plants and spices are produced here, like ylang-ylang (Cananga odorata).
The most external part of the island, not connected to the mainland, has a nature reserve where sea turtles nest: a spectacle which nature lovers simply cannot miss. This particular beach in Madagascar has a little treat for culture lovers: here you can admire the lighthouse designed by Gustave Eiffel.

Madagascar by the sea with the children: Andilana Beach

With calm shallow water, Andilana Beach is paradise for families, because you can relax in the sun and play on the beach in peace and quiet. Here you can spot sea turtles and dolphins, and visit the local markets and taste the local delights.
Andilana, the most famous and popular island in Madagascar, is located in the most northerly part of the Island of Nosy Be, near the VOI Andilana Beach Resort, a dream-like facility unique in its kind, offering many services for fun and relaxation, with a swimming pool with a view of the ocean and several activities for families.

Sea and Madagascar: ride the waves in Sakalava Bay

The northern coast of Madagascar is considered the bay area, with spectacular dunes and beaches beaten by the winds. Sakalava Bay is much loved by lovers of watersports, like windsurfing and surfing, because here, the wind generates waves with an incredible charm for those looking to take on nature with their surfboards.
The Bay also gives you the chance to go on dives to admire the seabeds, treks to explore the wilder parts of the area and quad excursions to roam along the white beaches and be enchanted by the sea of Madagascar.
