Madagascar’s beaches: Nosy Iranja
Very fine sand and a turquoise sea, the beach of Nosy Iranja enchants with its special shape. It is made up of two little islands, connected by an isthmus of sand which you can only walk on when the tide is low.
The beach is located just off the islands of Nosy Be, also known as perfume island, given that aromatic plants and spices are produced here, like ylang-ylang (Cananga odorata).
The most external part of the island, not connected to the mainland, has a nature reserve where sea turtles nest: a spectacle which nature lovers simply cannot miss. This particular beach in Madagascar has a little treat for culture lovers: here you can admire the lighthouse designed by Gustave Eiffel.
