Who does not know the famous Pane Carasau or Guttiau characterized by thin and crispy sheets perfect to accompany cold cuts and cheeses such as the famous Pecorino Sardo. Not to be missed as a first course is Fregola con Arselle, a Sardinian pasta similar to couscous often paired with arselle (clams) and Malloreddus alla Campidanese that is pasta in the shape of gnocchetti is seasoned with a rich sauce made with sausage, tomato and saffron. Sardinia is a place rich in traditions, and there are many souvenirs you can take home to remember your vacation. Cork items are among the most typical. You can find very original corks, cork stoppers, trays, cutting boards, and baskets. In addition to cork objects, wood-carved masks also represent the island's traditions.
