The Neos fleet, one of the youngest Boeing fleets in Europe completely renewed, is the only Italian airline to have Boeing 787 Dreamliners, the most technologically advanced aircraft.
COMMITMENT
We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and safeguarding the planet, bringing forward daily projects in terms of environmental sustainability and at a social level.
Starting in 2020, Neos decided to reduce the use of plastic on board its planes, reaching the milestone of 3 million plastic glasses replaced by composites.
The digitalisation of certain materials on board (manuals, maps, etc.) has considerably used our use of paper.
Upgrading the fleet with planes with latest-generation engines has reduced consumption, CO2 emission levels and maintenance costs, which is of great significance in terms of sustainability.
Specifically, during the Covid-19 emergency, Neos was heavily involved in repatriation flights, bringing home about 21 thousand people from all over the world, and in humanitarian flights, which meant the transport of over 100 thousand tonnes of healthcare materials.
